Prices on DIY Solar Panel Supplies

I would like to go green, and I think that one of the best ways to do that, is to start to use alternate sources of energy, as opposed to continuing to get all of my power from the energy grid. I know that a lot of the power generated by the grid is not very clean. As such, I am going to try to do my part, and give back to mother earth. I hope to find out some information about diy solar panels because that is a project that I would like to undertake, and I hope that it will not be all that difficult to install some solar panels on my house.

I think that the hardest part for me, will be figuring out how to wire the solar panels into the house. I wonder if there is any sort of special electrical equipment that is needed. I can’t imagine that a solar panel is just going to readily generate an alternating current at the right voltage and frequency to run household appliances. As such, something probably has to be done to the electricity that is collected by a solar panel, in order to convert it to a form that can be used in your house.

I hope that the subject matter is not too difficult for me, because this is something that I would really like to be able to do on my own, as long as I can figure out how to. I hope find a site where I can learn all there is to know about solar panels and how to install them into your house on your own. I guess that I should start looking for such a site, because I want to start reading relevant information at some point during the day today.

A Do It Yourself Project for the Photographer

As a photographer (an amateur one at that), I enjoy learning about the processes that are involved in capturing images and putting them onto film. While I enjoy digital photography as well, few things will be able to replace by SLR camera. As I’ve explored these processes, I have become curious about the way my camera works and how lenses themselves work. This especially became a subject I was most interested in when I broke the lens on my camera and wondered if I could learn about lens assembly and repair it myself! I have always been the type to try and do something on my own before paying to have it repaired. I was not expecting the intense amount of technical work that was involved in the assembly! Not one to balk at a challenge, I did as much research as I could as possible before getting into the guts of the thing.
