It does not effect me to be honest. I still have a lot of work that I can do and I doubt that the boss can get rid of me without finding another person who can do my job. He is not exactly very computer literate and he is a pretty nice guy. I have even gone on a couple of fishing trips with him. He lives in Falls Church, but he has a place on the Chesapeake Bay and a really nice boat. The outsourced call center thing was not something he wanted to do to be honest, I could tell all along. However our needs were growing and he sat down with me and the head of my department. We were the ones who presented him with the options, of course neither of us would have been sitting there telling him to send out jobs out to someone else. We told him what could be outsourced and figured out exactly how much it was going to cost.
The hard part was figuring out who could provide the sort of performance that you need. Any dope can answer a phone and give you an answer that is not very helpful. We wanted to test these people with some real life problems and also try to figure out if their people were really good at this. A lot of times what you have are people who are in their basements reading from a script. They might not actually understand the way that you fix something like this, nor even exactly what they are being asked by the client. Of course a person like myself is a bit expensive too and if you had that sort of training you might not want to get a job in a call center that did not pay well.
Pf course, I do not plan on getting lost while I am up in Canada, but I am going to be ready just in case something does come up. I have been looking into what you need in case you run into some sort of life or death situation. I do not think there are any polar bears where I am going, but they definitely have bears of other types and they have moose, which can be just as dangerous at certain times of the year. I looked around and got the best survival knife that I could find and a survival kit that I put behind the seat of my pick up truck. I have been doing a lot of work to make sure the truck is properly winterized.
I sort of lucked out this summer. I am dating this girl who has a lodge out on a lake. It is a pretty big place and they are going to give me a job this summer, but it is not going to be all that stressful in truth. I am just going to be a delivery boy. This lake is really big, but there are not a lot of places where you can get groceries and such. However you can phone in an order. I deliver it in a boat. I did need internet so I went to http://www.satelliteinternetreviews.net and figured out how to get satellite internet in the little cabin Trina and I are going to be staying at. There really was not any other choice and both of us are going to be taking a couple of classes on the internet this summer. So we had to get the internet.
This cabin is really out by itself too. Sheila says that we could go the whole summer without wearing clothes and it is unlikely that anyone would really notice.
